Junie B. Jones-- Jingle Bells, Batman Smells
Today we went to our favorite Children's Theatre to see Junie B. Jones-- Jingle Bells, Batman Smells. Yesterday I taught the kids the Old Batman Smells song so this morning around the house and on the way to the show they were singing this song over and over!! It was cool that the director who we love was also in the show! How cool!! The staff; once again, did a great job!!!! I love good, clean comedy! Even though I know you'd have to see the entire show to fully get it this was the scene that had me chuckling a second longer than everyone else:

Final Days of our local scrapbook store
I was so excited when Todd got me a gift card to our LSS for Valentine's Day, and then I got an Email from the store Sunday night stating they had sold the store and it would be closing this Sat and all gift cards had to be redeemed by the 21st. So me and the kids headed to the store this morning. This is what they did while I shopped, how could I complain.

I have always loved Groundhogs Day and hearing if he will see his shadow or not and as expected he predicted 6 more weeks of winter and I was worried he was right but then you see this wonderful site at the Wal-mart. It's the sign that spring is near. And then the weather forcast this morning is telling me 67 today, 72 tomorrow,64 Mon, 67 Tue, and 73 on Wed----YES, I will take it.

Hank the Cowdog Books-- Jan 30, 2009
We love these books and this is were Hank's name came from. Tonight we brought blankets downstairs to the living room and snuggled next to Hank and read a few chapters of "The Case of the Raging Rottweiler"

New Coat for Hank--Jan 26, 2009
It's just too hard to decide on a favorite picture for today so here are some extras: He was so good in this picture!! I have been working with him in the house on Sit and Stay, well I was so surprised when he followed my command outside with the distractions of the kids and the neighbors and there dog. He stayed and waited while I backed away taking his picture with my zoom lens. He did not budge! How cool is that!!!!

Sorting through EVERYTHINGSince we have the house listed for sale I decided to try to do some sorting and decluttering. I really do not want to haul stuff around that I do not need. I have always been such a pack rat up until the past 2 years. I have finally began to let things go. And wouldn't you know as soon as I made this HUGE mess someone called to set up an appointment to view the house...
Also got our order from RAINBOW RESOURCE. Boy do I love that store! I got the kids some more science stuff to add to what we are already using. Since Megan is begging to learn more about the human body I got a few things for her. I still have 2 books I want to order from Books a Million.:

I finally ironed on the kids Awana badges but for the Lowes ones they would not iron on, so I had to SEW. I wish this was a skill I was good at but I'm not. Believe it or not I failed home ec class in middle school. It took me what felt like FOREVER to sew on 2 patches.

Since the weather has not been the greatest we have been exploring more indoor activities. We have had Netflix for I guess 2 or 3 years and I am just now trying out the instant movie option. Oh my, we love it! Well I love old and older movies. One on my list was The Karate Kid--I loved this movie and figured the kids would too....

Great project 365 idea
I found this by following the link on Becky's blog. I love using these calendars and she had such a great idea of placing the picture right on the calendar page, I think I might do that next year. Dedicated Fan Today the temperature outside was 68 degrees. So I bundled Megan up in a blanket in our "sidecart" and headed out for a very late afternoon neighborhood walk. This is a street in out neighborhood we always drive pass. Me and the kids passed this house and then on the way back I glanced and thought at first boy what's the matter with there lawn then with closer look I saw it. So I stepped back further and took this picture. What a cool thing! This is one more of the kinds of things I want the kids to slow down and take the time to notice each day.
